Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what data ScuttleBuddy ("the Bot") collects, how it is stored, and how it is used when you interact with the Bot.

1. Data We Collect

To provide League of Legends statistics and leaderboards, ScuttleBuddy collects and stores the following information:

• Discord User ID: Automatically collected when you use commands or use /register.
• Discord Server (Guild) ID & Channel IDs: Stored when an administrator configures the bot using /setleaderboardchannel to know where to post weekly summaries.
• Riot Games Data: When you use /register, we collect and store your Riot ID (Game Name and Tagline) and your unique Riot Puuid (Player Universal Unique Identifier) provided by the official Riot Games API.
• Match History Metadata: Temporary or aggregated match statistics (KDA, CS, win/loss, gold, damage) are processed to calculate server leaderboards and weekly superlative "meme stats."

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data strictly to power the Bot's core features:

• Linking your Discord identity to your Riot Games profile via /register.
• Fetching and formatting match recaps for /lastgame.
• Aggregating and ranking server statistics for the /leaderboard and the automated Monday /memestats.

3. Data Storage and Retention

• Your linked Discord ID, Riot ID, and server configuration settings are stored securely in our database.
• Match history data is heavily aggregated. We do not permanently store your lifelong match history; we only retain the data points necessary to process active weekly server stats.
• If you wish to delete your data from our database, you can contact the developer (see Section 6) or unregister your account (if a /unregister command is available).

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

• Riot Games API: We send your Riot ID/Puuid to Riot Games APIs to fetch your public match data.
• Public Display: Your public League of Legends stats, username, and performance metrics will be visible to other members of the Discord servers you share with the Bot via leaderboard commands.

We never sell, rent, or trade your data to third-party companies or advertisers.

5. Security

We implement reasonable technical measures to safeguard your data. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic database storage is 100% secure.
